Managing Demand Modeler data

Once you have configured Demand Modeler to use your Decision Data Model (DDM) and loaded data from the DDM, you need to review your existing data and set up Demand Modeler to forecast demand.

You can bring in Trend Cloud causal information using the Trend Cloud Refresh task along with user-defined causals such as price, promotions, etc. Trend Cloud is Coupa’s repository of external time series data derived from sources such as Trading Economics. The data, which includes macroeconomic indicators and events, is intended to help users better understand causal factors in their demand and forecast demand more accurately.

You can download demand, internal causal, and event data to Microsoft Excel files. If needed, you can delete data.

Manage your data

1. Review your historical demand data.
2. Load Trend Cloud causal data.
3. Load your demand and causal data.
4. Run the Correlation Calculation to determine correlations between your data and Trend Cloud.
