Loading or refreshing Trend Cloud causal data

  1. Log into the Demand Modeler app.
  2. Select the Input button. The Demand page appears.
  3. Select the Causals button. The Causals page appears.
  4. Select the Trend Cloud Selection tab.
  5. Select the Filters button to select the Trend Cloud data to analyze.
  6. On the Trend Cloud Selection tab, select Options. The Trend Cloud Options dialog appears.
    These settings affect all scenarios.
    • Start Date: Select the earliest date to use for pulling Trend Cloud data.
    • End Date: Select the latest date to use for pulling Trend Cloud data.
    • Location Dimension: Select the dimension that should have its level fields populated with location information in its master table (for example, dim_1_master). Level_1 should contain a country name and level_2 should contain a state abbreviation (if the dimension is state-specific). For more information, see Feature Mapping. Select Apply when finished.
    • API Key: Enter or verify the API key used to connect to the environment from which you want to pull Trend Cloud data, if different from the key used to call Demand Modeler. If left blank, the API Key used in calling Demand Modeler is used.
    • Override Domain: Enter or verify the URL used to pull Trend Cloud data, if different from the URL used to call Demand Modeler. If left blank, values are pulled from the environment from which Demand Modeler is called.
    • Time Aggregation: Enter the frequency of Trend Cloud values to be pulled. Options include Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly.
    • Enhanced Logging: Specifies whether or not detailed logging is conducted during the Pull Trend Cloud action.
  7. Select Save.
  8. In the first column of the table, select the causals to refresh.
  9. Select the Launch Pad icon.
  10. From the Select Task field, select Trend Cloud Refresh.
  11. Select Run to load or refresh the data.
