Model settings

Use the features in Model Settings to control model-specific behavior:

  • General - use these options to control model horizon dates, costing and transportation calculations, and the model culture.
  • Technologies - use these options to limit the input and output information based on the solver technology (or technologies) you are working with.
  • Data Formats - use these options to control the display formats for date, number and currency columns.
  • Tabs - use this option to determine whether or not tab display should be persisted.
  • Scenarios - use this option to optionally rename the Baseline scenario.
  • Units and Currency - use these options to define the default currency and units of measure for the model.

Other settings, such as column order in tables, are also persisted for the model. Several settings are captured in an .xml-format file that is saved in the model folder. These settings include the docking layout of tabs and basic Launch Pad specific settings, such as the selected design engine and scenarios. Note that if you delete the .xml file, these specific settings will be lost; however, all other model settings are persisted.
