Managing scenarios
Once you have loaded your demand, causal, event, and master data, you can set up your scenarios.
- Create a new scenario, or select an existing scenario, to be used for modeling demand and running forecasts.
- Choose parameters that will form the basis for your demand model.
- Select various time aggregation steps. Weekly and monthly are the most commonly used for testing.
- Specify the level of detail (LOD) across your three primary dimensions.
- You can use the Tournament forecasting strategy at a medium effort level.
- Select other settings as necessary.
- Once your initial selections are made, run the forecasting workflow using the Demand Algorithm task in the Launch Pad.
- Track the status of your task in the Queue Management section of the platform to see how the solution is progressing and if it is successful.
