Managing scenarios

Once you have loaded your demand, causal, event, and master data, you can set up your scenarios.

  1. Create a new scenario, or select an existing scenario, to be used for modeling demand and running forecasts.
  2. Choose parameters that will form the basis for your demand model.
    • Select various time aggregation steps. Weekly and monthly are the most commonly used for testing.
    • Specify the level of detail (LOD) across your three primary dimensions.
    • You can use the Tournament forecasting strategy at a medium effort level.
    • Select other settings as necessary.
  3. Once your initial selections are made, run the forecasting workflow using the Demand Algorithm task in the Launch Pad.
  4. Track the status of your task in the Queue Management section of the platform to see how the solution is progressing and if it is successful.
