Add an app board

You must add at least one app board to each of your apps. App boards are where you'll place the widgets that will enable users of your apps to visualize or otherwise manipulate your business data.

1. On the Navigation toolbar, select Layout Designer .
2. In the Layout Designer pane, in the Projects section, select an app.
3. At the top of the Layout Designer pane, select Create New, and choose New App Board.

   The New App Board dialog box is displayed.

4. On the General tab, adjust or provide information for the following:
   • Name — type a name for the app board. The following special characters are not allowed in the name: & < > " '
   • Participates in global context — select the check box If you want the app board to participate in the global context.
   • Show Navigation — select the checkbox if you want to app board to have custom navigation.
   • Comments — type notes or a description of the app board.
   • Layout — select a widget placeholder layout.
5. Specify events, if necessary.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Save.
