The Cost to Serve Analysis template

The "Cost to Serve Analysis" sheet is a template designed to showcase the outputs of the "Cost to Serve" table from a Supply Chain Guru model. It provides users with a foundation for visualizing the costs to fulfill customer demand. You can duplicate and modify this template according to your needs.

If the visualizations are not automatically populated, make sure the model inputs and outputs align with the columns specified in each visualization.

We recommend that you edit the sheet with the “Advanced options” toggle turned on. This toggle is located in the upper right corner of the sheet. These instructions assume that the toggle is on.

Cost to Serve Analysis Dashboard

Visualization Description
Filters

The sheet can be filtered by the following elements: 

  • Scenario

  • Product Name

  • Finished Good

  • Customer Name

As you make selections, the visualizations in the sheet update to reflect your choices.

You can close the filters to free up space on your dashboard. Click the red X to the left of the filters to close them. To reopen the filters, click .

Cost Break Down graph This graph displays the cost to serve by cost type.
Unit Cost To Serve Distribution graph This graph displays the distribution of unit cost to serve across customers by product.
Unit Cost To Serve Average vs Stdev graph This graph displays the average cost to serve for each product by the standard deviation of the unit cost to serve.
Cost To Serve Details table This table displays the cost to serve details for products by path, lane, and period.
