Create a run for a new project
Projects that have never had a prescription run performed will indicate this when the project is opened. You need to run a Prescriptions algorithm to generate prescriptions.
You need to have the Business User role to be able to run prescriptions. Contact your administrator if you need this role.
Before you can generate prescriptions, the Modeler model/scenario used by the project needs the Network Optimization and Cost to Serve Analysis problem types run on it in Modeler.
Create a run on a model without existing runs
- From the Supply Chain Prescriptions home page, find the project you need.
- From the project card, select Open.
Supply Chain Prescriptions notifies you that there are no existing runs for the project.
- Select New Run.
The Launch Pad panel opens. This runs the Supply Chain Prescriptions Algorithm process.
- From the Scenario field, select a model scenario to use.
- From the Solve Type field, select whether to generate Cost or Network Risk prescriptions.
- Supply Chain Prescriptions automatically assigns a name for the run. You can change this name. If you do:
- The name must be unique.
- No spaces are allowed in the name. The name must adhere to the platform's naming restrictions.
- You may want to include the model name in the run name for easy reference.
-
If necessary, select Options and select the options for the run.
- Select Run.
- The run process notification appears in the queue with a Refresh
icon. When finished, it will display a Completed
icon.
- If your model needs to be upgraded, a notification appears in the Status Queue that it is being upgraded.
- Model upgrades appear first in the Status Queue regardless of selected sort order.
- While your model is upgrading, the Model Upgrading process displays a Refresh
icon.
- When the upgrade is finished, the Model Upgrading displays a Completed
icon.
The Status Queue appears and displays the status of the run process.
The project's card on the home page is updated, and displays the Refresh icon and information while the algorithm is running. The appropriate tag (Cost or Network Risk) is added to the card to indicate what kind of prescriptions are available.
You can view the status of a prescription run from the Status Queue.
