Review a Volume Consolidation prescription

You can review detailed information for each Volume Consolidation prescription. You can access the individual prescription detail page from the Prescriptive Insights Volume Consolidation tab , or from the All Prescriptions page .

The elements of the Detail page are linked together so that as you select different elements such as bars in bar graphs or lines in tables, the other visualizations will update with your selections.

  1. From Prescriptive Insights Volume Consolidation tab , or from the All Prescriptions page , find the prescription to review.
  2. Select the prescription ID.

    The details dashboard for that prescription opens.

  3. Review the dashboard. From this page you can:

Element Description
Page Header
Scenario selection Use this field at the top of the page to select the scenario to review.
Prescription ID The unique identifier for the prescription.
Source The beginning location of the materials or goods being transported.
Destination The ending location of the materials or goods being transported.
Potential Savings This value is the potential savings for this prescription.
Previous/Next Use these buttons to review other Volume Consolidation prescriptions. Prescriptions are ordered by rank.
Set Status

Select this button to change the status of selected prescriptions. Prescriptions can be Accepted or Unreviewed, depending on their existing status.

The current status of the prescription appears to the right of this field.
Cost  
Current This value is the cost prior to applying the prescription. It is based on the original mode assignments.
Potential This value is the cost when the prescription is applied. It is based on the prescription mode assignments. The change in cost is listed below the Potential cost, including the percent change in cost.
Properties  
Quantity This number of units (the flow quantity) for the prescription.
Weight The flow weight for the prescription.
Volume The flow volume for the prescription.
Affected  
Paths This value is the number of paths that are affected by the current prescription.
Lanes This value is the number of lanes that are affected by the current prescription.
Products This value is the number of products that are affected by the current prescription.
Lane Insights
Lane Composition Insights This table displays details for the lanes for the selected prescription. Details include the starting and ending locations, current and prescribed mode, the product, the quantity, weight and volume of the product, the transportation cost rate and the potential savings per lane. By default, the table is sorted by Potential Savings from highest to lowest.
After Volume Consolidation Was Prescribed

This map shows the results of the prescription on the lanes and the product flow direction. You can observe when lanes are removed and/or added based on the prescription.

Nodes without latitude and longitude coordinates will display an orange location marker and is plotted at 0, 0.

Path Insights
Affected Paths This table lists the paths that are affected by the current prescription, including the current total cost for each path. By default, the table is sorted by Total Cost from highest to lowest. Selecting a path updates the charts and tables on the page.
Top 5 Path Factors Driving Up <Business Objective> This chart identifies the top 5 factors that drive up the cost per basis mentioned in the Business Objective for the path selected in the Affected Paths table. Hover over the factor bar to display the local score calculated for the factor. Examples of factors include Customer Service Time, Uses DC (binary) and Number of Unique Modes.
Top 5 Path Factors Driving Down <Business Objective> This chart identifies the top 5 factors that drive down the cost per basis mentioned in the Business Objective for the path selected in the Affected Paths table. Hover over the factor bar to display the local score calculated for the factor. Examples of factors include Customer Service Time, Uses DC (binary) and Number of Unique Modes.
Path Level Factors Driving Up <Business Objective> This table lists all factors that contribute to driving up the cost per basis mentioned in the Business Objective for the path selected in the Affected Paths table. Positive Local Score values indicate an increase in costs, while negative Local Score values indicate a decrease in costs. Select on the column headings to sort the data by the column values. You can use the Shift key to select multiple columns for the sort order.
Path Level Factors Driving Down <Business Objective> This table lists all factors that contribute to driving down the cost per basis mentioned in the Business Objective for the path selected in the Affected Paths table. Positive Local Score values indicate an increase in costs, while negative Local Score values indicate a decrease in costs. Select on the column headings to sort the data by the column values. You can use the Shift key to select multiple columns for the sort order.
