Scenario actions
The following are the actions that can be performed on scenarios.

- Select Scenarios

- Click New Scenario and enter a scenario name. By default, the name is “Scenario” for the first scenario definition, “Scenario (1)” for the second definition, and so on. You can change the name as desired.When naming scenarios, keep in mind that the words "and" and "or" are reserved words for evaluating filter criteria. Coupa recommends that you do not include these words in your scenario name to prevent issues when filtering for Scenario in output tables. If the Scenario value includes "and" or "or", you must preface the name with =" in the filter.
- Use the scenario Editor to select and order the scenario items you created as described in Creating scenario items.
- You can filter for specific scenario items in the filter box for Available Items or Selected Items.
- Select one or more items in the Available Items list box.
- Use the selection buttons to move the items between the list boxes:
>>> Moves all the items from the left (Available Items) to the right (Selected Items) > Moves selected items from the left (Available Items) to the right (Selected Items) < Removes any items previously selected from the right (Selected Items) to the left (Available Items) <<< Removes all the items from the right (Selected Items) and places them on the left (Available Items) - You can click New Scenario Item to access the scenario item editor and create a new item. The item is populated with default values for Table, Field, Operator, and Value.
If you are in a Rapid Solve Scenario when you click New Scenario Item, the item is created with default values for Table, Field, Operator, and Value. The "Show Only Rapid Eligible Tables and Fields" toggle is ON. You can change the item definition using other rapid eligible tables and fields as needed.
You can click the arrow at the right of the scenario item (either available or selected) to edit the item. - Switch on Show Scenario Item Detail to see the Table, Field, Value(s) and optional Filter criteria for each item. Optionally, enter Scenario Notes to describe the scenario definition. The Scenario Notes can be up to 4000 characters in length.
- Drag and drop the selected items as needed to determine the order in which they are processed when the scenario is run.

- Select Scenarios

- Select the scenario name and click Copy
. The scenario definition is copied with a default name of <ScenarioName> (1).
- Optionally edit the name.
- Use the scenario Editor to select the scenario items you created as described in Creating scenario items.

- Select Scenarios
.
- Select the scenario name and click Delete
. You are prompted to confirm the deletion.
Deleting a scenario deletes all output data associated with the scenario. Deleting a scenario does not delete the scenario items that were included in the scenario definition. - Click Yes to confirm the deletion. The scenario and all associated output is deleted from the model.
Searching scenarios
You can search within the list of scenario names using the Search Scenarios field.
Search scenarios
Start typing in the search field. Scenario names that contain the characters are displayed in the list box.
