Review demand projections

After completion of the forecast run, use the Forecast Hub tab to understand the overall forecast summary. This allows you to look at historical demand and get visual confirmation that your forecast is on track.

Before you view your forecasts, be sure you have run the appropriate scenarios.

  1. Log into the Demand Modeler app using the link provided by your administrator.
  2. Select the Output Overview button.
  3. Select the Forecast Hub button. The Forecast Hub page appears.
  4. Select a scenario to use from the Scenario field at the top of the page.
  5. Select the Filters button to select the slice of the forecast to analyze. The visualizations are updated according to your selections.
  6. If you want to include causals in the graph, select each causal in the Causals field. Select Apply.
  7. Review the results.

Forecast Hub tab

Visualization Description
Average Demand The average demand for the product(s) selected by the filters.
Average Forecast The average forecast in demand for the product(s) selected by the filters.
Average Forecast/ Demand Ratio The average ratio between forecasted and current demand for the product(s) selected by the filters.
chart

The chart displays the change in demandover the selected time period, including the forecasted demand.

The secondary vertical axis displays the causal values for each causal scaled between 0 and 1 from original values. This allows the graph to display multiple causals with different scales on the same graph (for example, GDP and Crude Oil production).

Select a causal from the Causals field to include it in the graph. Select Apply when done.

The table displays the historical demand and forecast demand by date for each dimension combination in the slice of data specified by the filters. See Edit the dimension aliases.
