Reviewing Demand Modeler forecasts

After completion of the forecast run, use the Output Overview tabs to review the results and to further refine your demand model. You can filter your results by location and product.

  • Forecast Hub — Use this tab to understand the overall forecast summary. This allows you to look at historical demand and get visual confirmation that your forecast is on track. Use the high-level metrics at the top of the tab to visually confirm your scenario included the metrics you need. You can filter this tab by date range.
  • Causal Analysis — Use this tab to understand what causals are most affecting the forecast, review key error metrics, and to understand the models used (stat + ML models) and the parameters optimized.
  • Forecast Accuracy — Use this tab to continue to make input parameter changes around the models, causals and demand history treatment to further tweak and improve your forecast accuracy. This tab also includes the top 10 products by demand, showing which products account for the majority of your demand. You can filter this tab by date range.
  • Demand Class — Use this tab to view the demand according to the type of demand.
In order to maintain database efficiency, Demand Modeler automatically deletes data from scenario runs older than the last successfully completed run. The results from the latest scenario run are displayed.
