Button

Use the Button widget to execute an event, such as refreshing the state of the app or navigating to another app board.

Button widget properties

Use this property To do this
General tab
Name Provide an internal name for the widget.
Title Provide a title for the Button widget box.
Title Bar Visibility

Specify the visibility of the widget title bar. Choose one of the following:

  • Above
  • Overlay
  • Hidden (outside Designer only)
Text Provide a name for display on the button.
Tile tab
Background Color Specify the background color for the widget tile.
Text Color Specify the color of the title text.
Show Shadow Display a shadow on the widget.
Show Title Row Border Display borders around the title row of the widget.
Font Size Specify the size of the widget title.
Font Preview Shows you a preview of how your font selections will affect the widget title.
Bold Display the widget title in bold text.
Italic Display the widget title in italics.
Style tab (Button section)
Color Specify the color of the button.
Text Color Specify the color of the button text.
Border Color Specify the color of the button border.
Border Width

Specify the width of the button border. Choose from the following:

  • None
  • Narrow
  • Medium
  • Wide
Font Size Specify the size of the button text.
Font Preview Shows you a preview of how your font selections will affect the widget title.
Bold Display the button text in bold.
Italics Display the button text in italics.
Fill Width Of Widget Make the button extend across the width of the widget.
Vertical Alignment

Specify the vertical alignment of the button. Choose from the following:

  • Top
  • Center (this is the default)
  • Bottom
Horizontal alignment

Specify the horizontal alignment of the button. Choose from the following:

  • Left
  • Center (this is the default)
  • Right
Style tab (Icon Section)
Show Icon Select to display an icon on the button.
Select Icon Click to select the icon image from the available designs.
Icon side Select whether the icon will appear to the left or the right of the button label. The default is to the left of the label.
Events tab
Add Event Handler Add events to the widget.
  1. For When/On, specify when you want the event to occur.
  2. For Then, specify the action that you want to occur.
