Spend Accounts

Internal Table Name: SpendAccounts

Use this table to define spending constraints that can be applied to specific network costs, such as Fixed Operating Cost. You can provide a maximum spend value and indicate the elements which are included in the cost, such as specific periods, locations, products and work centers.

The elements that apply depend on what you select as the Network Cost. For example, with Fixed Operating Cost selected, only values in the Period, Location, Source and Work Center columns apply. Fixed Operating Cost does not apply to other columns, such as Product and Mode.

You can define multiple network cost records for a specific spend account. An account called "Facility Cost" can have one record for Fixed Operating Cost and another for Capital Investment Cost, each with its own Max Spend.

Select the network cost to which this spend account applies. The cost can be one of the following and the chart indicates the dimensions that each cost can use:

If you populate dimensions that a cost does not use (for example, Mode for Fixed Site Operating Cost), those dimension values will be ignored. If you do not populate a dimension that is used (for example, Location for Fixed Workcenter Operating Cost), the value is evaluated as all members of that dimension.

Max Spend

The maximum spend constraint for the specific network cost selected. When the model is run, the value of Network Cost value cannot exceed Max Spend. For example, a Max Spend for the "Fixed Operating Cost" of the manufacturing sites in your network means that the total fixed operating cost across those sites must be less than or equal to the Max Spend value.
