Algorithm override

Demand Modeler allows the override of algorithms that are considered for specific LODs. The algorithms that are used for those LODs take precedence over the algorithms identified via the parameters. Typically, Demand modelers initially try all the available algorithms specified by the forecasting strategy. Later on, they might try to improve the accuracy for a subset of time-series by overriding the algorithms that are considered. For example, some models perform well during specific periods such as Black Friday. Also, some models excel in forecasting newly introduced products.
