Data flows structure

Each data flow is made up of several components:

  • Connections - Use connections to identify the asset (model, user defined database, or DDM) that acts as a data source in your data flow. Each data flow must have at least one connection defined.

  • Actions - A number of actions are available that support data transformation activities, such as creating tables, aggregating data and others.

  • Parameters - You can use parameters to control the behavior of actions.

  • Links - Use links to control the order in which actions are executed.
