Managing projects
An App Studio project is essentially a container that holds one or more apps. A project can also contain folders, which enable you to further organize your apps and app elements.
You can create and manage your projects using the Layout Designer.

- On the Navigation toolbar, click Layout Designer
.
- At the top of the Layout Designer pane, click Create New, and choose Project.
- In the New Project dialog box, for Name, type a name for your project. The following special characters are not allowed in the name: & < > " '
- If you want to associate notes or a description with the project, for Comments, type your comments.
- Click OK
The project is displayed in the Projects section.
- Click Save.

- In the Layout Designer pane, in the Projects section, select a project.
- Click Create New, and choose New Folder.
- In the New Folder dialog box, for Name, type a name for the folder.
- Click OK.

- In the Layout Designer pane, at the top of the Projects section, click in the search area and type a keyword.
The search uses your input to try to find matches in the object names within your projects.
When the search finds an object name that matches your typed input, the match is shown and objects with non-matching names are hidden. To clear the search and show all objects in the project, click.

- In the Layout Designer pane, in the Projects section, select the project that you want to rename.
- Click Options
and choose Properties.
- In the Project Properties dialog box, for Name, type a new name.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.

An integrity report identifies the following information:
-
the parameter name or simple name of a named session
-
the type of session (e.g. Named, Private)
-
the base database name
-
base database ID
For macros, it also displays any issues with macros associated with the project.
- On the Navigation toolbar, click Layout Designer
.
- In the Layout Designer pane next to Projects, click
and choose Check Project Integrity.
- Select the project(s) to assess, or click Select All to check all projects.
- Click Run Checks. Click Yes when confirmation is requested.
An Integrity report is downloaded to your Downloads folder.
- Click the report to open it. Review the report and address any issues.

- In the Layout Designer pane, in the Projects section, select the project that you want to delete.
- Click Options
and choose Delete.
- Click Save.
