Define a map point

  1. Access the properties for the Map widget.
  2. On the Series tab, select Add Point or select the "Create copy" icon for an existing point.

    The New Map Point dialog box is displayed.

  3. On the General tab, adjust the following:
    • Name — type a name for the point.
    • Description — type a description of the point.
    • Select icon — select Change icon, and specify an icon.
    • Size — specify the size of the point.
    • Point Weighting Function — construct a query to dynamically define the point size according to your data.
    • Point Maximum Weight — specify the maximum point size.
    • Point Minimum Weight — specify the minimum point size.
    • Point Multiplier — specify the point multiplier.
    • Series Color — specify the point color.
    • Label — select and construct a query as necessary.
    • Font Size — select the font size for the label.
    • Font Preview — shows you a preview of how your font selections will affect the title.
    • Bold — select this to format the chart title in bold text.
    • Italic — select this to format the chart title in italics.
    • Add Label to Map Point — select this to add the label to the map point.
    • Latitude — select and construct a query as necessary.
    • Longitude — select and construct a query as necessary.
    • Node — select and construct a query as necessary.
    • Group By — select and construct a query as necessary.
    To turn off context for a map field populated by a statement, select the Make Column Provide Context or Not button .
  4. On the Tooltips tab, adjust the following:
    • K/M/B Summarization — Select this option to display amounts in summarized notation.
    • Use Label as Header — select the check box if you want to use the label defined on the General page as the header.
    • Header — select and construct a query as necessary to create a header.
    • Font Size — select the font size for the header.
    • Font Preview — shows you a preview of how your font selections will affect the header.
    • Bold — select this to format the header in bold text.
    • Italic — select this to format the header in italics.
    • Lines — select Add Statement and construct a query as necessary.
    • Font Size — select the font size for the point's tooltip.
    • Font Preview — shows you a preview of how your font selections will affect the point's tooltip.
    • Bold — select this to format the point's tooltip in bold text.
    • Italic — select this to format the point's tooltip in italics.
    To turn off context for a map field populated by a statement, select the Make Column Provide Context or Not button .
  5. On the Advanced tab, adjust the following:
    • Conditions — select Add Statement and then construct a query as necessary.
    • Sort By — select Add Statement and then construct a query as necessary.
    • Only The First [value] Records — enter the number of records to limit the display to the specified number of records with the highest values.
  6. On the Events tab, adjust the following:
    • Add Event Handler — add an event. Do the following:
      • For When/On, select Double-Clicked.
      • For Then, select an app board.
  7. Click OK.
