Coupa Help cookies

Cookies are files created by web sites to capture information about how users interact with them. When you visit a Coupa Help system in your web browser, we create cookies on your device so we can identify what learning material you view. This information helps us to improve our content, which enables our customers to learn how to use our products effectively.

For more information about our information practices, see the Coupa privacy policy.

What information does Coupa collect?

We track statistics related to the technology you use to access our Help systems, such as screen resolution, browser type, and operating system. We also capture data such as the search keywords that you enter and the names of the topics that you visit.

If you click the Accept button on the opt-in banner located at the bottom of the page, the Help system generates a random number and saves it in a cookie on your machine. This number isn't associated with any personally identifiable information. However, it does allow us to track how you, as a unique yet anonymous user, interact with our Help systems over time.

If you decline to allow us to generate a unique tracking number, you can still access any Coupa Help system, with no limitations.

What cookies are created?

Coupa Help systems create the following cookies:

  • ldocopt — this cookie records your decision regarding whether or not you allow us to use a randomly generated number to track your actions within our Help systems over time.

When you access any page within our online Help, the page checks for the existence of a cookie called "ldocopt". If this cookie doesn't exist, a banner is displayed near the bottom of the page asking you if we can save a random number in a cookie on your machine.

Possible values for the cookie are true or false, depending on your response to the opt-in banner.

  • ldocuid — this cookie stores a numerical value that is used to track your interactions with our Help across browser sessions.

If you choose Accept on the opt-in banner, a 32 digit random number is saved in the cookie. The random number enables us to identify your browser as a unique visitor to our content. If you choose Decline, a value of 1 is saved. The same value of 1 is assigned to the cookies of all users who decline to allow us to track them as unique visitors.
