Input Tables
You can access all input tables using on the left navigation pane. Input Tables are organized based on one of these categories:
- Table Activity
- Table Type
- Alphabetical
When viewing by Table Type, the tables are organized in groups based on their use in the model construction:
- Physical Elements Tables – These are input tables that define the structure of your supply chain, including tables such as Sites, Customers and Products.
- Transactions and Forecasts Tables – These tables contain the transactional data, such as Production and Shipments, that occurs in the model.
- Policies Tables – These tables define the sourcing, production, transportation and inventory policies in the model.
- Process Tables – These tables define processes and assignment of these processes to sites and customers.
- Constraints Tables – These are input tables that support constraints on various types of data, such as Flow, Inventory, Production and Greenfield Service.
- Multi-Time Period Tables – These are input tables for multi-time period data.
- Advanced Costing Tables – These tables support costing mechanisms such as Multi-Stop Estimation, Zone Costing and Taxes and Duties.
- Specialized Tables – These input tables contain data specifically for features such Transportation Optimization and Demand Analysis.
Columns may be used by one or more of the supported technologies. This is called out using indicators as shown below:
Technology: All NO IO S TO
where:
All – Column is used by all technologies
NO – Column is used by Network Optimization
IO – Column is used by Inventory Optimization
S – Column is used by Simulation
TO – Column is used by Transportation Optimization
Table and column names as displayed in the user interface may be different than the actual database table and column names in the model database. The database table and column names are displayed below the Technology entry, indicated by Table and Internal Name. For example:
Expression
Technology: NO
Table: AggregateServiceConstraints
Internal Name: ConstraintName
Type: Short Text (50)
This column is the name of the service constraint.
