Work Resources
Internal Table Name: WorkResources
Simulation: Currently only used with Production Processes in the Simulation problem type.
Name
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: WorkResourceName
Type: Short Text (100)
Enter a unique name for your work resource.
Site
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: SiteName
Type: Short Text (100)
Specify the site where this resource is used.
Units
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: Units
Type: Short Text (25)
Enter the number of identical units of this resource available to perform work. It must be a whole number.
Default: 1
Fixed Resource Cost
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: UnitFixedCost
Type: Short Text (50)
Enter the fixed unit cost for each work resource. This is the fixed cost of a work resource, such as the general/administrative costs per worker for the horizon of the model.
The Fixed Resource Cost is reflected in the Total Work Resource Cost in the Network Summary output tables.
Default: 0
Hourly Cost
Technology: NO
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: HourlyCostCap
Type: Short Text (50)
This is the hourly cost of a work resource. Generally, it is used for the hourly wages of workers. Specify the capacity and cost structure per hour for this resource. Use the Capacity/Fixed Cost Period column to control the period to which the Hourly Cost applies. In order for your model to run correctly, the Cost should increase as the Capacity increases, for example:
The Hourly Cost is reflected in the Total Work Resource Cost in the Network Summary output tables.
Expansion Only
Technology: NO
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: ExpansionOnly
Type: Bit
One of Yes, No. (Actual database values are 1,0.)
If set to Yes, then the available number of resources cannot be less than any previous period.
Default: No
Maximum Capacity (Hours)
Technology: NO
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: WorkResourceMaxAvailableTimeinHours
Type: Number (Float)
Enter the maximum time (in hours) that each work resource can be utilized. Use the Capacity/Fixed Cost Period column to control the period to which the Maximum Capacity (Hours) applies.
Capacity/Fixed Cost Period
Technology: NO
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: FixedCostPeriod
Type: Short Text (50)
One of Period Length, Day, Week, Month (30 Day), Quarter (91 Day), Year.
Select the period to which the Maximum Capacity (Hours) and Hourly Cost fields apply. If you populate the value with "Horizon", "PeriodLength" will be used when solving the model.
Waiting Consumer Queue Basis
Technology: S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: WaitingConsumerQueueBasis
Type: Short Text (50)
One of None, Item, Quantity, Weight, Volume, Value.
Specify the unit by which the consumer queue is reported, either by item, quantity, weight, volume, or value.
Default: None
Notes
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: WorkResourceNotes
Type: Memo
Enter optional descriptive notes about the work resource.
Custom 1
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: Custom1
Type: Short Text (255)
Optional field to enter descriptive information.
Custom 2
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: Custom2
Type: Short Text (255)
Optional field to enter descriptive information.
Status
Technology: NO S
Table: WorkResources
Internal Name: Status
Type: Type: Short Text (50)
One of Include, Exclude
Choose the Work Resource status:
- Include - This Work Resource will be included in a solver run.
