User defined tables
Supply Chain Guru X supports user defined tables within your model. You can create the table and all required columns for the user defined table. You can then populate the table using the Supply Chain Guru X table interface. For example, you can enter and edit individual records or import from Excel. User defined tables can be used as data sources for input pipes or to hold the data required for custom constraints.
Coupa recommends that you use the Supply Chain Guru X User Defined Table feature to add tables to the model database. When you upgrade your model to a new version of Supply Chain Guru X, tables added to the model database using a mechanism other than the user defined table feature in Supply Chain Guru X are dropped from the model database.

- Open the Input Tables pane.
- Click New User Table. Supply Chain Guru X creates a table in the User Defined Tables section called “New User Table”. The table includes a Status column by default. In , you can create up to 30 user tables, each with a maximum of 20 columns (including the Status column).
- Edit the table name as required. Do not use the same name as an existing input table. You can now open and work with this table the same way you do with other input tables.
- Use the process described in User defined columns to add required columns to the table.

- Open the Input Tables pane.
- Select the user defined table and click Delete
. You are asked to confirm the deletion.
- Click Yes.
Exporting and importing user defined table schemas
Once you have defined a user defined table, you can export the schema to a file. The file contains the column definitions, including the Usage. You can then import the schema to other models so that you can use the same table definition.

- Open the Input Tables pane and select the user defined table you want to export.
- Click Export
. The schema is written to a file in the model folder. The name of the schema file takes the format <TableName>.scgt.

- Open the Input Tables pane and click Import User Table.
- Navigate to the folder when the schema file (.scgt) is located, select the file and click Open. The User Defined Table is created and added to the User Defined Tables section of the Input Tables pane.
