Time Series Graphs
You can create graphs that display data based on dates. The date field is used as a continuous variable. For example, you may want to create a graph showing the Inventory Units per day as reported by Simulation.
Create a time series graph
- As the data source for the graph, use a data table or define a view that includes a date field. For example, the Order Report output table for Simulation includes the Order Processed Date.
- Select the Line graph type.
- Select the date field as the Selected Dimension. In our example, you could select the Order Processed Date. You will not be able to use additional fields as Selected Dimensions if you include a date field as a Selected Dimension.
- Select the field(s) you want to use as Selected Measures. For example, in the Order Report, you could select the Quantity Filled field.
- In the Differentiate By drop-down, optionally select one or more dimension fields, then select Measures if you have more than one Selected Measures field. For example, in the Order report, you may want to differentiate by the Destination Site (a dimension).
