Working with scenario comparisons
You can create, edit, copy, and delete scenario comparisons.

- Select Analyze > Scenario Comparisons.
- Click New Scenario Comparison. A new scenario comparison is created and opened. The default name is Scenario Comparison (n), where n is an incrementing number.
- Edit the scenario comparison name as required using the
edit function.

- Select Analyze > Scenario Comparisons.
- Click New Scenario Comparison and edit the name as required.
- Select the first scenario for the comparison in the Select First Scenario box.
- Select the second scenario for the comparison in the Select Second Scenario box.
The two scenarios are compared. All output tables are listed. If the contents of the tables are equivalent between the two scenarios, the row includes an equal sign (=). If there are differences between the table contents for the two scenarios, the row includes a “not equal” sign (≠).
- Expand the node for the technology you want to review, such as Network Optimization. You see the list of table names associated with that technology.
- Use these features to control the list of tables displayed:
Show (/Hide) Empty Tables – By default, tables with no records are hidden. When you select this option, tables with no records are included in the table list.
Sort by Technology (/Table Name) – By default, tables are sorted in alphabetical order by name. When you select this option, tables are listed by the technology to which they belong.
Show (/Hide) Equal Tables – By default, tables that have no differences are hidden. When you select this option, tables without differences are also included in the list.
- You can enter text in the Search Compared Tables field to further limit the list of tables.
- Click on a row where results are not equal (≠). The data for each scenario is listed in grids below the scenario selection.
- By default, all table is displayed. Rows and columns with equal information are included. Use these features to limit the output displayed:
- Filter Equal Rows – When this option is selected, equal rows are not included in the display.
- Filter Equal Columns – When this option is selected, equal columns are not included in the display. Note that columns containing key fields are always included.
- Use these features to navigate through the results:
- Previous Difference – Highlight the previous output row that contains a difference between the scenarios.
- Next Difference – Highlight the previous output row that contains a difference between the scenarios.
