Differences between 8.4.x and Supply Chain Guru X Models

Differences between 8.4.x and Supply Chain Guru X Models

The model database has been enhanced in Supply Chain Guru X to better support production modeling. These changes include the splitting of existing SCG 8.4.x tables and the addition of new tables to the model schema. The general changes are as follows:

Split of Sites into Sites and Customers.
Split of Sourcing Policies into new Production Policies table (all “Make” policies), Site Sourcing Policies (inter-facility policies) and Customer Sourcing Policies.
Removal of Process and BOM from Sourcing Policies.
New Processes table defining name and process type.
New BOM Assignments and Process Assignments tables, defining Period, Site, Product and BOM/Process.
New Production Process Constraints table, providing additional level of constraint detail.
