Mandatory routing sequence
Use the Mandatory Routing Sequence column in the Sites and Customers tables to fix locations as the first/last pickup or first/last delivery stop on a route. When a location is identified as "First Pickup", it will always be the first pickup stop on a route. Locations identified as "Last Delivery" must always be the last delivery stop on a route. The Mandatory Routing Sequence acts as a hard constraint; shipments must adhere to this rule or they will be unrouted. You can select one of the available values to control the sequence for the location:
- First Pickup - This location will always be the first pickup stop on a route to which it is assigned.
- Last Pickup - This location will always be the last pickup stop on a route to which it is assigned.
- First Delivery - This location will always be the first delivery stop on a route to which it is assigned.
- Last Delivery - This location will always be the last delivery stop on a route to which it is assigned.
The Mandatory Routing Sequence works with standard, interleaved and periodic optimization.
