Financial Summary

Internal Table Name: OptimizationOutputFinancialSummary

This table displays financial information including startup, operating and closing costs, depreciation, and capital investment.

The table includes a record for each period in the scenario, and a record that represents the total over all periods.

Scenario

Internal Name: Not Applicable (Scenario column not in table)

The scenario for which the output data was generated.

Period Name

Table: OptimizationOutputFinancialSummary

Internal Name: PeriodName

The name of the period to which these financial statistics apply. For the network total, the Period Name is displayed as Total.

Total Profit

Table: OptimizationOutputFinancialSummary

Internal Name: TotalProfit

The total profit of the optimization network and inventory structure.

total profit = total revenues - total cost

Present Value

Table: OptimizationOutputFinancialSummary

Internal Name: PresentValue

The value of the network when the annual Discount Rate (NPV) specified in Model Settings is applied to the non-discounted value. This is calculated as:

1 / (1 + r) ^ (Elapsed Days/Days Per Year)

where:

r = Discount Rate entered in Model Settings

Elapsed Days = Number of days from the model Start date to the end of the time period.

Days Per Year = 365

The Discount Rate is not applied in the following cases:

When the model is a single period model.
It is not applied to Expression Based Costs when the constraints that the costs are based upon have a Constraint Period of “(ALL_Periods) All”.

The total network cost incurred after optimization.

Total Revenue

The total revenue generated by units shipped to customers.

total revenue = (sum of all product demand met) * (price per product)

Capital Investment

The sum over the Total Capital Investment values in the Network Site Summary and Network Work Center Summary output tables for the specified scenario.

Depreciation

Closing Cost

Total Late Demand Penalty Cost

This is the total penalty cost by period across all customers/products from demands related to late fulfillment based on the period demanded, prorated based on Discount Rate (NPV) value. You define the Late Delivery Penalty Cost in the Customer Demand/Customer Orders tables.

Total Early Demand Penalty Cost
