Exporting document templates

You can export the definition of analysis documents (maps, views, graphs and dashboards) as templates, then import them into other models. The template captures the definition of the documents, such as selected layers on maps, and table joins in views.

There are template export and import options on the individual analysis features, in addition to the global export option described in this section.

Export document templates

1. Select Model > Export Templates. You see the Export Template form.
2. Select one of:
   • Export templates for all associated documents – This option exports all current map, view, graph and dashboard definitions. All required documents are included in the template.
   • Export selected associated documents – This option enables you to select which documents you want to include in the template.
3. If you select Export selected associated documents, use the drop-down icon to display the list of members for categories that have more than one document. Select the check boxes the documents to include.
4. Click Export. You can enter a name for the template containing the document definitions. The default name is SCGX_Template.zip.
