Export data
Use export data to export data from one or more Supply Chain Guru X tables to worksheets in an Excel spreadsheet. Each table selected for export is populated on a separate worksheet.
The export data must be limited to 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns.
You can export data to an Excel spreadsheet even if you don't have Excel installed on your computer.

- Select Model > Export Data. The Excel Export window is displayed.
- Click the sort icon
and select one of the following sort options:
- Alphabetical – All input and output tables are listed in alphabetical order.
- By Type – Input Tables are listed first, followed by Output Tables, Components (Groups), then Views.
- Technology – Output Tables are listed first by Technology (such as Network Optimization), followed by Input Tables, Components (Groups), then Views.
- Optionally select Hide Empty Tables to limit the list of tables to only those with records defined.
- Optionally, enter text in the Filter field to limit the set of tables listed for selection.
- Select one or more tables and/or views using the following methods:
- Individual table check box – Select the check box for individual tables and/or views.
- Parent node check box – Select a parent node, such as Input Tables or Network Optimization Output Tables. The nodes will be based on the sort you selected in step 2.
- Select All check box – Use the Select All check box to select/de-select all tables in the tree.
You can select one or more tables input and output tables for a single export operation.
- If required, click Browse (...) to navigate to the destination of the exported data. The name for the Excel file is <ModelName>_BatchExport_en.xlsx, and by default it is located in the same folder as the current model.
- Select the Export Options you want to use:
- Create a separate file for each table – When this option is selected, Supply Chain Guru X will create a separate Excel file for each table that is exported. The filename will be appended with the table name for each Excel file generated.
- Open Excel after export – Once the export is complete, if this option is selected, Excel will start and open the spreadsheet file specified.If you have checked “Create a separate file for each table” and “Open Excel after export”, Excel will open each individual file at the conclusion of the export.
If Excel is not installed on the computer, the “Open Excel after export” option is not available for selection. - Exclude ID column (update will be unavailable when importing) – If you enable this setting, the unique ID field for the table is not exported. This means that you cannot re-import the data for use in updating the existing records, since Supply Chain Guru X will match the source and target records based on this ID value.
- Export only structure – Select this option if you want to export only the grid structure. When this option is selected, the Excel file will include only the field names, but none of the data will be exported.
- Only export tables with records – Select this option if you want to export only selected tables that have records defined. If you have selected tables with no records, these are not included in the export.
- Click Export. Supply Chain Guru X exports the selected table.
- When the export is complete, click OK. If you have checked the “Open Excel after export” option, Excel will open with the exported spreadsheet(s) once the export is complete.
