End To End Service Constraints

Internal Table Name: ServiceRequirements

End To End Service Constraints are not guaranteed to work properly if you select one or both of these options:
Allow flows to extend across periods
Allow productions to extend across periods

Customer

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: CustomerName

Type: Short Text (100)

Enter the Customer of the Customer - Site (Source Site) pair to which the service constraint applies. You can also enter a site group.

Product

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: ProductName

Type: Short Text (100)

Enter the name of the product or product group to which the service constraint applies.

Source

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: SourceName

Type: Short Text (100)

Enter the Source Site of the Customer - Site (Source Site) pair to which the service constraint applies. This site should be the originating site of the product that is demanded at the Customer location. It must be a site at which Production Policies occur. You can also enter a site group.

End To End Service Constraints add an implicit constraint that all units on a path must original from the Source Site on that path. The initial inventory at a site in between the source and destination is not used.

Maximum Lead Time

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: LeadTimeRequirement

Type: Short Text (50)

Enter the amount of time it may take a product to travel through the supply chain from the Source Site to the Customer location. This constraint considers transport time only, using Transport Time from Transportation Policies or the Travel Time override in Transit Matrix. Enter a value, then optionally select a time unit of measure. If you do not select a unit of measure, the default Time Unit Of Measure from Model Settings is used. .

Maximum Distance

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: DistanceRequirements

Type: Number (Float)

The maximum distance between the source site and the site can be specified. Enter a value, then optionally select a distance unit of measure. If you do not select a unit of measure, the default Distance Unit Of Measure from Model Settings is used. This value acts as a hard constraint, similar to Flow Constraints. If there are lanes that exceed the constraint, the model is infeasible.

Status

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: Status

Type: Short Text (25)

One of Include, Exclude.

Choose the End To End Service Constraint status:

  • Include - This constraint is to be included when optimization is run.
  • Exclude - This constraint is to be excluded when optimization is run.

Default: Include

Notes

Technology: NO

Table: ServiceRequirements

Internal Name: ServiceRequirementNotes

Type: Memo

Enter optional descriptive notes about the service constraint.
