Choose a modeling strategy

Demand Guru provides several different approaches to modeling demand. The approach you take depends on the goals you are trying to achieve with your demand model and the data you have to help achieve that goal:

• Demand forecasting predicts future demand based on historical time series data, to which various types of causal data can be applied.
• Life cycle modeling analyzes a product's life cycle and predicts demand based on various stages of the life cycle.
• Demand clustering studies demand based on groupings of products that share similar characteristics.
