Rename tables globally

You can rename tables on a global basis across the open project. Before you do this, however, it is recommended that you create a backup copy of the project.

1. Ensure that all workflows, macros, and actions are closed.
2. Select Actions > Rename Tables from the menu bar.
3. Note the prompt stating that this action cannot be undone, and click Proceed.
4. A global Table Summary is displayed listing all the tables referenced in the open project.

   

5. Use Filter By Connection to limit the list of tables in the Table Summary.
6. Select a table to highlight it, and then enter its New Table Name.

   

7. Repeat the previous step to rename multiple tables.
8. Click OK when finished.
