Change connection preferences
These settings affect Data Guru’s communication with external data sources.
- Connection Attempt Time Out - Enter the number of seconds Data Guru can attempt to establish a connection to a data source before timing out.
- Maximum Delimited File Scan Time - Enter the number of seconds Data Guru can spend to scan a delimited file.
- Maximum Excel Worksheet Scan Time - Enter the number of seconds Data Guru can spend to scan an Excel worksheet and identify the schema. This value does not affect the actual data transfer.
- Auto Refresh Connections - Select to refresh all current connections based on the settings you have chosen.
The Credentials settings for each data source type establish your rights to the use of specific external software applications. The settings can vary depending on the type of data source.

This setting addresses specifically the ability to control whether column totals are displayed in database connections.
- Enable Table Row/Column Counts - Select this choice to enable the automatic display of row and column totals within the Connections pane.
- Add Auto-Increment Keys to Created Tables by Default - For any action that can be configured to add a new field containing a row ID to an output table, select this choice to include this option by default. This option can be overridden when configuring the action.

Baidu is an alternative service provider that can be used by Data Guru’s Geocoding and Distance Calculation transforms specifically for sites in China. To use Baidu, you must obtain a valid key and copy it into the Baidu Key field.

Bing is a service provider you can use for Data Guru’s Geocoding and Distance Calculation transforms. A Bing key is required. Obtain a valid key from Microsoft and copy it into the Bing Key field.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to Coupa’s Data Services.
- URL - The URL of the web service.
- User Name - The Data Services user name.
- Password - The Data Services password.
- IFMI URL (optional) - The URL to the IFMI service.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to an DB2 (ODBC) database. Before you set up the connection, be sure to work with your support desk, IT, or database administrator to install the proper drivers on your machine, unless you already have an existing ODBC connection.

Naver is a service provider that can be used by Data Guru’s Geocoding and Distance Calculation transforms for locations in South Korea.
- Naver Key - Specifies the valid key provided by Naver.
- Naver Client Secret - The password created by the user.

Mapbox is a service provider you can use for Data Guru’s Geocoding and Distance Calculation transforms. A complimentary Mapbox key is provided with Supply Chain Guru, in Application Settings. If you do not have Supply Chain Guru, then you must obtain a valid key and copy it into the Mapbox Key field.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to an ODBC database. Before you set up the connection, be sure to work with your support desk, IT, or database administrator to install the proper drivers on your machine, unless you already have an existing ODBC connection.

- Oracle Version 9.2 (or earlier) - Select if you are using this version of Oracle, or an earlier version. Note that this selection affects the default connection string.
- Connection Name - Select this choice to enter the user-specified name used in Data Guru to refer to this connection.
- Server Name - As an alternative to specifying a connection name, select this choice and indicate the name of the database host system, which can be either the DNS name or the IP address. You must also identify the Port and SID with this choice.
- Port - The port associated with the database instance. One of the most common Oracle ports is 1521, but check with your Oracle administrator if you have questions.
- SID - The database instance name.
- User ID - The database user ID having authorization for this instance of the database.
- Password - The database password associated with this User ID.
- Use Windows Authentication - Can be selected instead of specifying a User ID and Password, depending on your organization’s security protocols.
- Edit Connection String - Select to enable editing of the connection string.
- Enable Table Row/Column Counts - Select this choice to enable the automatic display of row and column totals within the Connections pane.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to an Oracle ODBC database and import Oracle ODBC data. Before you set up the connection, be sure to work with your support desk, IT, or database administrator to install the proper drivers on your machine, unless you already have an existing ODBC connection.

PTV Map & Guide is an alternative service provider that can be used by Data Guru’s Geocoding and Distance Calculation transforms. To use PTV, you must obtain a valid key and copy it into the PTV Key field.

These settings allow you to establish an SAP connection.
- Connection Type - Your connection uses a specific server (Single Server) or a load balancer that distributes incoming requests to an available server (Load Balancing).
- Host - Your SAPRouterString appended with the name of your application server, as specified in your SAP system connection parameters.
- System Number - An identifying number provided with your SAP license.
- User Name - The ERP SAP user name.
- Password - The ERP SAP password.
- Language - The language being used. The default is EN for English.
- Client - The System ID from your system connection parameters.

Before you set up the connection, be sure to work with your support desk, IT, or database administrator to install the proper drivers on your machine, unless you already have an existing ODBC connection.

- User Name - The application user name.
- Password - The password associated with the user name.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to Coupa’s SupplyChainGuru.com On Premise application.
- User Name - The application user name.
- Password - The password associated with the user name.
- Enable Table Row/Column Counts - Select this choice to enable the automatic display of row and column totals within the Connections pane.

This setting allows you to establish default values that can be used when creating a Supply Chain Guru Cloud connection to the Supply Chain platform. You must also have your authentication method established prior to creating a connection of this type.
- URL - Specifies the fully-qualified web address to the platform landing page, which is https://us.llama.ai.
- API Key - Provided by Coupa, this key is required to access Supply Chain.

These settings allow you to establish a connection to a Teradata database.
- Server Name - Specify the name of the database host system; enter either the DNS name or an IP address.
- User Name - Enter the database user name.
- Password - Enter he database password.
- Authentication - Choose the method used to authenticate the user.
- Use Windows Authentication - Can be selected instead of specifying a User Name and Password, depending on your organization’s security protocols.
